Bill is the Commission Liaison for E911, Emergency Management, Veterans Service, Local Emergency Planning Committee, the Advocacy Services, Expo Board, and the Enhancement District.
Jim Hardwick
Commissioner since January 7, 2003
Jim was elected Chairman for 2010 and is the Commission Liaison for the Rural Fire Department, Weed & Pest, and Extension/4-H.
Roger Inman
Commissioner since January 2, 2001
Roger is the Vice Chairman for 2010 and the Commission Liaison for the Highway Department, Hughes County Planning and Zoning Board and the Hughes County Rail Authority with Commissioner Weaver.
Mark E. Venner, Sr.
Commissioner since January 5, 1999
Mark was born and raised in Hughes County and returned home in 1995 to the family farm after retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel from a 20-year career in the USAF. Mark holds a Bachelor's Degree in Ag Engineering and a Master's Degree in Education from South Dakota State University, and a Master's of Science Industrial Engineering from the University of Florida.
Mark is currently the Commission Liaison for Municipal Solid Waste, PEDCO, the Ambulance Board and New Jail Construction with Commissioner Weaver. He is very active in the New Life Assembly of God Church and is a part time instructor for Capital University Center.
Norm Weaver
Commissioner since January 5, 2009
Norm was elected in the June 2008 Primary Election and took office on January 5, 2009. He is the Commission Liaison for River Cities Transit, the Rail Authority with Commissioner Inman and the Sheriff's Department.
